This book is the definitive guide to Gormley's career, an extensive large format publication which is the first major retrospective of his career. The 37 chapters consider each one of his significant projects in a comprehensive visual essay and are accompanied by a text written by the artist, explaining the genesis, creation and installation of the work. Also included are extracts from Gormley's notebooks, contemporaneous writings and drawings which illuminate his process.
