Résumé :
Fueled by a lack of tools to create contemporary circus performances, circus maker Zinzi Oegema looked for a method and did research. She studied publications on circus dramaturgy, read analyses, and collected case studies. Confronted with a lack of material on hands-on circus work, she decided to interview people who had created circus performances that she found interesting. In GRIP Zinzi presents her findings and you can read parts of these interviews.
This bilingual publication is part of a two year development trajectory that circus maker Zinzi Oegema did at TENT from 2017-2018 and that is funded by the Dutch Performing Arts Fund NL (within the New Makers grant), the Amsterdam Fund for the Arts and the Creative Industries Fund NL. In addition to GRIP she created three circus performances: MEMO, Barstool Bound and PIT.
