Langue : Anglais
Description : 5-piece (20 pages) half-fold style zine.
Résumé :
Issue #1 takes a closer look at how terror and liminality collide within the circus – a space which we more strongly associate with joy and happiness. Drawing on their background in Disability Studies and their personal practice as a contortionist and circus artist, Ess explores new intersections of circus arts and the world around them through this zine through a case study of a daring circus performance followed by an essay that unpacks some of the more harrowing aspects of why we love to watch the circus.
