The partnership among the three Universities of the State of São Paulo (UNICAMP, UNESP and USP) made possible the accomplishment of an old dream: the creation of a space to bring together researchers, coaches, officials, judges and gymnasts in a scientific event. Thereby, SIGARC (International Seminar in Artistic Gymnastics and Rhythmic Competition) was born, which took place in 2007, 2010, and 2012. The collaboration among these Universities, strengthened by the contribution of the University of Hildesheim and by the invited experts from several countries, culminated in the work presented now, revealing scientific productions in variety fields of knowledge. Our encounter and integration with international fellows enlarged the exchange of knowledge and enhanced the growth of Gymnastics. Our intention with this action was to emphasize the benefits of a partnership, which has strengthened by the union of every one, our love, and our commitment to the development of competitive Gymnastics. We invite everyone to celebrate this meeting!
