Un incontournable ouvrage de référence qui apporte une riche reflexion sur le développement du rôle et des influences de la Femme dans les arts du cirque à travers le temps et envers la communauté au sens large. Publié suite à une conférence multidisciplinaire « Zene & Cirkus » qui s’est tenue à Zagreb (Croatie) en novembre 2009, cet ouvrage regroupe les textes des conférences des historiens, spécialistes de théâtre, anthropologues, artistes et journalistes qui ont proposé leur point de vue sur la contribution de la Femme au cirque traditionnel et actuel. De plus, cet ouvrage présente plus de 191 superbes photos issues d’archives publiques et privées.

Circus Advocacy Day is an annual event organised by Circus Information Centre in Zagreb. Established in 2012, the event was conceived with an idea of promoting examples of good practice that can contribute to the development of Croatian circus sector. This year’s topic was circus education, a recurring theme in the conversations between circus artists. In the last couple of decades the world has seen considerable shifts in this department. In Croatia there is an evolving interest for a more systematic approach to circus education and certain efforts exist to develop and validate this field on the broader art scene. The main goal of this conference was to bring together circus experts as well as those from other areas in order to share and exchange different experiences in the field of artistic education, especially on the higher level.
